Alan Rogers Review of Wecamp San Sebastián
A five-kilometre drive from the city takes you to this terraced campsite, high above San Sebastián, between the mountains and the sea. It offers mostly level, shaded, small (max. 70 sq.m) grass pitches with electricity (5/10A) and drainage. Pitches are separated by neat, low hedging and some have excellent views. The restaurant and bar are open all year and a sun terrace looks toward the mountains. Excellent bus service to and from San Sebastián runs every 30 minutes (all year). There are 25 attractive chalets to rent at the entrance to the site. These are often occupied by groups of younger visitors and can become lively at the weekends. English is spoken in reception.
Nearby in San Sebastián, you will find numerous shops with the work of artists crafted in wood, ceramics, textiles, iron and glass. Not to be missed is a visit to the aquarium complete with 360º walk-through tunnel and the museum with 700 years of naval history. San Telmo Museum is the oldest in Spain’s Basque country, housed in a former Dominican convent and reopened in 2011 with a state-of-the-art architectural extension.

Directions to Wecamp San Sebastián
From A8 take exit 9 for San Sebastián West (oeste). Head for Ondarreta. At Playa de Ondarreta, follow beach road on Avda de Satrustegui. At T-junction turn left. Keep right on Paseo de Igueldo. Continue up hill for 5 km. to site on left.
