Situated in the countryside, on a large, level, grassed area that stretches along the banks of the River, Rheincamping Meerbusch has 300 pitches, (200 for touring) all with 6A electricity. It is well located for visiting nearby Düsseldorf, and Cologne further south.

The site presents a relaxed atmosphere with its informal beach bar and is fairly open with shade in some areas under mature trees, and open-plan pitches. Being next to the river there is some disturbance as Rhine barges chug by, and now and then noise from Düsseldorf airport, but it is not too obtrusive.

With a central location between Cologne to the south and the Ruhr area to the north, as well as the close proximity of Belgium and Holland, the site is a good touring base. In addition, the small car ferry almost adjoining the site allows easy access to the other side of the Rhine.

Although Cologne has long been a well-known tourist destination, both Düsseldorf old town and The Ruhr with its many interesting industrial museums, have a lot to offer the tourist.

Directions to Rheincamping Meerbusch

Site is 8 km. northwest of Düsseldorf on western bank of the Rhine. From autobahn 57 take exit 15 (autobahn Kreuz Meerbusch) onto the A44 toward Düsseldorf-Flughafen. Leave at exit 28 (Lank-Latum/Strümp) towards Strümp. At third traffic lights turn left. Follow signs for Campingplatz or Autofähre.
