Camping La Foret, Stella Plage, is very conveniently situated for Channel hopping visits to north-eastern France, as a first stop once off the ferry at Calais or Dunkirk on the way to other destinations or as a holiday destination in its own right. Thirteen of its 154 pitches are for touring units. Mature trees offer shade and the pitches, which are large and grassy, have electrical hook-ups, but there are no fully serviced pitches. The site has just two taps for motorhome/caravan use, but hoses cannot be attached and so a watering can or similar is required to top up water supply. The site has bread and pastries to order, ice creams, chilled drinks and jars of cooked food to reheat but no restaurant or bar since the resort of Stella plage (one kilometre away) has a shopping area with the opportunity to eat out or buy take-away meals. For those who enjoy a beach holiday, there are miles of sandy beach accessible on foot, by the cycle track or by the bus which stops right outside the campsite.
There is a games room with table football and table tennis. One central sanitary block for which a key is issued, has showers, clothes and dishwashing facilities, chemical toilet emptying point and accessible facilities. There are also washing machines and dryers (charged). Bicycles for hire can be ordered at reception, as can reduced-rate tickets for local attractions.
