Punta Lunga is located in the spectacularly beautiful Gargano region, a huge National Park, and nestles in an attractive bay. The 150 medium sized, terraced, sandy pitches (3.5-6A) are flat, mostly set on steep slopes, and some have shade. Camping along the shore is less formal and in some cases less shaded, but some pitches have spectacular views. There is a choice of restaurants. The upper one is finer dining, while the lower one is an informal beach restaurant. The site is well suited for energetic windsurfer types.

A small shop and large bazaar are on site and there is a shuttle bus to the town of Vieste. This is a delightful place to relax by the sea and to explore the dramatic wilderness of the Gargano peninsula with its coves, cliffs and coastal towns. The coast here has an ambiance of its own; the scent of pine mingles with the cool Adriatic breezes, inviting you to relax. For history lovers, explore the pilgrim route from San Severo to Mont Sant Angelo.

Facilities at Punta Lunga Camping Village

Two toilet blocks, some distance from pitches, have a mixture of unisex showers and dedicated toilets, mostly squat style. The facilities are clean and fresh. unsuitable for those with accessibility issues. Laundry facilities. Hairdresser. Small shop. Gas. Excellent restaurant with pleasant views. Beach bar with snacks. Gym (no instructor). Children’s clubs (high season). Small play area. Bicycle hire. Windsurfing school. Excursions. WiFi (€ 1/10 minutes). Dogs are not accepted.
