This friendly, good value, riverside site in a sheltered position in the mountains is easily accessed from the E6. The 50 unmarked and grassy touring pitches (34 with 10-16A electricity) are in natural surroundings amongst birch trees and rocks and served by gravel access roads. There are also several attractive and fully equipped site-owned cabins. As the site rarely fills up, the facilities should be adequate at most times.

There are a host of unusual activities in the surrounding area. These include caving, canyoning, rafting, gold panning, mineral hunting and musk oxen, reindeer and elk safaris. In winter, the more adventurous can try various winter sports in the high Dovrefjell National Park. The nearby centre of Oppdal gives access to one of Norway’s largest alpine complexes with 16 ski lifts and 80 km. of prepared ski trails. In summer, fishing and hunting are possible.

There are boat trips along the 20 km. Gjevilvatnet Lake and the Gjevilvassdalen Valley is the gateway to Trollheimen, an area of enchanting natural beauty. A hikers’ paradise and flora and fauna in abundance await those venturing into Dovrefjell by car or on foot.

The small, clean, heated sanitary unit is fully equipped and has showers on payment. Extra WC/washbasin units in the reception building. Accessible facilities, A small kitchen with sinks, hot plate, fridge and freezer, and a combined washing/drying machine. Motorhome services. Kiosk for ices, soft drinks, etc. (seasonal). Bar (mid-June - Aug). TV lounge. Fishing. Bicycle hire. WiFi (free).
