Within easy reach of the city, this is a very pleasantly located site, close to a long gently sloping beach which is very popular for bathing. As a result the area behind the campsite is populated by many holiday homes and cabins. A very open site with very little shade, it has 200 mostly level, grassy pitches all with 10A electricity (Europlug), and two areas for tents. Many pitches are fairly compact, although there are some larger ones. The key card entry system operates the entrance barrier and access to the buildings and there is a night security guard (June-August).

Reception has a range of tourist information, and can provide details of reductions on bus and taxi fares to the city, also selling the Göteborg Card. There is a large beach area within easy walking distance of the campsite. It has a wide grass area near the beach and it is a short walk to a watersports centre nearby. Beyond the grass area is a large area offering all kinds of sports pitches. The campsite is part of the group that operates the amusement park in Göteborg. This is some 10 km. by road. Reception is able to give advice on alternative transport to the theme park.

Two modern, heated sanitary buildings. Both are maintained to a high standard and provide all the usual facilities, including a good suite for small children and an accessible unit. Larger unit with recreation room and TV. Separate laundry. Kitchens with cooking facilities and washing up room with TV. Hot water is free. Motorhome services. Well stocked shop with fresh bread daily. Sauna. Several playgrounds. TV room. Minigolf. Free WiFi over site.

Directions to Lisebergs Camping Askim Strand

About 10 km. south of Göteborg, take exit signed Mölndal S and ports (Hamnar). Take the Rv 159 towards Frolunda, and watch for a slip road to the right. After 200 m. turn left at the roundabout, signed Askim, and follow signs to campsite.
