Alan Rogers Review of Gol Campingsenter

Gol Campingsenter is a good overnight stop when travelling north from Oslo, although there are sufficient activities on site and nearby to merit a longer stay. There are around 600 pitches in total, including 200 touring pitches all with access to 16A electricity. The site is located on both sides of the main RV7 but there is easy access to either side via a pedestrian underpass. Three well appointed sanitary blocks serve the site with all you need and hot water and showers are included. The river flowing at the edge of the campsite should encourage fishermen to choose this site.

There is easy access to a number of activities in nearby Gol. These include ice skating, the Tropicana indoor swimming pool, and tennis courts. In winter the area has a number of skiing opportunities, while in summer there are waymarked bicycle, walking and hiking trails to be enjoyed. Gol has other attractions including a Stave church and countless places for the fisherman to explore.

Three well equipped sanitary blocks have modern, en-suite facilities including family rooms, some with special extras for babies and young children. Each has well equipped kitchens/dining areas and laundries and separate accessible rooms. Motorhome services. Shop with essentials and good range of camping equipment/spares. Large outdoor swimming pool, heated with small pool with slide and an extensive area of sun loungers (extra charge). Licensed snack bar. Play areas. Licensed cafeteria. Takeaway. Football pitch. Sauna.
