Alan Rogers Review of Glanusk Caravan Park

Glanusk Caravan Park is in a secluded part of the Glanusk estate and is perfectly private. Relax on all-weather pitches with the option of electricity in an area that's surrounded by nature. The site reaches out towards the river's banks, where the peaceful waters are ideal for salmon and trout fishing.

Steeped in history, the estate is a beautiful space that began life as a retreat for Sir Joseph Bailey and their family. It features a stretch of the tranquil River Usk, a host of majestic trees, wide meadows and secretive walled gardens. A distinctive tower and bridge add the perfect finishing touch to these surroundings. It is known as The Jewel in the Usk Valley, and this luxurious setting sees more than 200 species of oak and a huge variety of charming flowers, plant life and wildlife. The site has 40 all-weather pitches, and most have an electric hook-up point.

Glanusk is one of Wales' largest privately owned estates and offers endless beautiful parkland, ideal for walkers. Surrounded by the Brecon Beacons and near the glorious Black Mountains, it's a first-class park with stunning views, rich history and an incredible setting, featured in various TV and film adaptations. Don't miss salmon and trout fishing in a charming stretch of river or a stroll beside its peaceful banks. The views of the unmissable Black Mountains make this a very special place to stay. Even at night, the sky lights up with twinkly stars and puts on a show, thanks to your location within the International Dark Sky Reserve.
