Camping du Port Caroline is an attractive site lying alongside a small river and close to the little village of Brain-sur-l’Authion, which is at the heart of the Anjou region. This is a quiet, relaxing site with little in the way of organised activities. There are 121 large, level, grassy pitches, 100 for touring, all with 10A electricity. They are separated by a variety of hedging and tall trees give most pitches ample shade. On site are a new small swimming and paddling pool with a jacuzzi plus a bar/takeaway, games room and two small play areas. This is a useful base for visiting the vineyards of the Anjou which are all around.

The very small River Authion, just 200 m. from the site, is popular with anglers. The area around the site offers numerous amenities, including a large play area for children, boules, tennis and a nature reserve. The quiet local lanes are ideal for exploring by bicycle or on foot. Not far away lies the magnificent River Loire offering something for everyone, with its many sporting activities, leisurely boat trips, famous châteaux, local produce and regional wines.

The two sanitary blocks of very different designs are clean and well maintained. Accessible Facilities. Outdoor heated swimming and paddling pools (15/5-8/9). Shop. Snack bar. Takeaway (Tues. and Thurs). Bread to order (high season) Play area. Bicycle hire. Mobile homes and chalets (one with accessible facilities) for hire. WiFi.

Directions to Flower Camping du Port Caroline

From Angers take D347 east towards Saumur for 7 km. At roundabout turn south onto D113 for 2 km. to Brain-sur-l’Authion. Site is signed just south of village.
