This is a chalet park, located at the heart of the Volcans d’Auvergne national park. Please note that there are no touring pitches here. The park offers three different kinds of fully equipped chalet, all made of wood, and with large covered terraces. One is adapted for use by visitors with disabilities. The site is located in a clearing with a stream running through the middle. This is excellent walking country with 16 waymarked trails running close to the park. One trail, La Balade du Marchal starts from the park. The park managers will be very pleased to recommend routes, as well as offering advice on the best restaurants and sights.
There are 5 lakes within 5 km. of the park, and these are all well suited for swimming and fishing. The largest, Lastioulles lake (130 hectares), has a sailing centre with equipment hire, as well as a beach with a lifeguard. The park is open throughout the year and, during the winter; the Auvergne offers a broad range of winter sports opportunities, including downhill skiing at Super-Besse (29 km). There are many small villages close by, each with its own market offering local cheese and other produce. The park has its own small lake for fishing. In spring and summer, many butterflies and flowers can be found in the meadow-like field. The only noise to be heard at night is the hoot of an occasional owl.

The site can be found southwest of Clermont-Ferrand. Approaching on A89 motorway, leave at the exit to La Bourboule. Continue south on D922 and, at La Pradille, join the eastbound D622 to Marchal, from where the site is well signed.
