Alan Rogers Review of Crowdecote Campsite
Crowdecote Campsite is an adults-only site located on farmland in the Peak District National Park near the village of Crowdecote. The Facilities on-site are basic, with a shower and toilet, running water and chemical disposal point. Firepits and firewood are available on site but must be kept off the ground. As the site is located on a farm, you are surrounded by countryside views of the peak district. The farm is home to cows and goats, and with this in mind, you can bring your dogs with you but must be kept on a lead at all times.
A country pub can be found a short walk away, and a local bus service to Buxton and Ashbourne can be caught opposite the pub so that you wouldn't need a car for local walks. You can also walk to Dragon's Back or Chrome Hill on a footpath from the campsite. You will find your local amenities in a village just over a mile away, where you can find a cafe, bar and takeaway food.
