Les Mures is a site on the Gulf of St Tropez, and it really is on the Gulf with direct access to its own beach. This is a modern site offering the highest standard of amenities. The site is divided into two parts: ‘The Vineyard’ and ‘The Beach’. There are Pitches located directly on the beach, with direct access to the Mediterranean. ‘The Vineyard’ is just a short distance on the other side of a very busy road (connected by a pedestrian underpass) and is more spacious and offers a little more shade; this is where most of the site facilities are located.

There are 360 Pitches of average size, flat and level, and some have tree shade with low-level hedging dividing each pitch. All had had E.H.U., and most had views over the bay; there are, however, no fully serviced pitches on this site, and water is drawn from taps around the area, except the 36 Premier Plus pitches, which do have a tap and 10 amp E.H.U

Access is good, and you are advised to park in Les Mures private car park just before the barrier and then a short walk to reception for check-in (after 3:00 p.m.). All staff are bilingual in five European languages. A bus stops outside the gate that will take you along the coast road St Tropez or Saint Maxine and link you to the rail network.

Nearby Port Grimaud has a lively Sunday morning market and a regular ferry service across the bay to its famous neighbour, Saint Tropez. There is an excellent, safe cycle track linking all the towns on the Gulf, and this may well be a good way to get around. This is a particularly well-situated site at the heart of this popular tourist area, and early reservation is advised as the site becomes fully booked during high season.

Six toilet blocks, all reasonably clean when visited. Three accessible units, including a special block near the beach. Washing machines. Shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway (all season), snack bar on the beach. Play area. Sports pitch. Bicycle hire all season. Sports facilities and kids club in high season. Fishing. Paddleboarding, Bicycle hire. WiFi throughout (charged). Only electric barbecues are permitted. Mobile homes and chalets for rent.

Directions to Camping les Mûres

From the A8 (Aix-en-Provence-Cannes) take exit 36 (Le Muy) and D25 to St Maxime, then the 2721 Route du Littoral towards St Tropez. Site is 4.5 km. on the right of this road.
