Camping Wiesenbeker Teich, classified in Germany as an eco campsite, is situated in the Harz National Park on the edge of the forest, 2.5 kilometres from Bad Lauterberg. It is on the south western shore of the lake, which is a popular destination, with many opportunities for recreational activities. The terraced family site offers 90 touring pitches (6-16A electricity), divided into 30 for caravans, 20 for motorhomes and 40 for tents. Almost all the pitches overlook the lake and due to its location it is quiet with no through traffic, although a walking route around the lake runs through the site. There are also 30 permanent rental units, including a wooden wigwam settlement, a biker house and caravans. Bed and breakfast and half board are also available.

The lake is about 500 metres long and up to 180 metres wide. There is a 60-metre man-made sandy beach and sunbathing area and a children’s playground. It is possible to swim, rent paddle boats and fish in the good quality water. The restaurant, café and sun terrace provide appealing hospitality in beautiful surroundings.

The site is 2 km. southeast of Bad Lauterberg. From road 27 in centre of Bad Lauterberg turn southeast onto Schanzenstrasse then shortly continue onto Butterbergstrasse for 100 m. then left again onto Wiesenbek for 2 km. to site.
