A small, family campsite attractively located among orchards and woods, Camping Völlan stands on a hillside above the town of Meran/Merano in the Südtirol/Alto Adige region. There are spectacular views over the surrounding valleys with mountain peaks beyond, and the area offers many opportunities for walking, cycling, mountain biking and motoring excursions visiting Alpine villages, ancient fortresses and picturesque castles. The 55 touring pitches are moderately sized (80-90 sq.m) and are generally level, although the site itself is on a slope; electricity connections are available. There is a small swimming pool, and the site shop provides ‘all you need for your camping holidays’.

Reception has information on the ten mountainbike and fifteen walking trails in the surrounding countryside, as well as numerous possible destinations for the less energetic. Attractions in the area include Merano Thermal baths, Knottkino Nature Cinema and the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. Among possible family excursions are the ‘Knightly Escapades’ at the Churburg Castle, the high rope trail near Meran and the Bird Care Centre of Castel Tyrol.

Directions to Camping Völlan

Völlan/Lana is 30 km. northwest of Bozen/Bolzano. Leave A22 Verona/Brenner motorway at exit for Bozen Süd and follow signs for Merano. In 20 km. take exit to Lana and then follow signs up hillside to Völlan and campsite.
