At the edge of the Indre region, on the banks of the river of the same name, lies Camping Le Val Vert en Berry. This small-scale family campsite is located in a green valley a few kilometres from the charming village of Le Châtre. The surroundings served as inspiration for the French writer George Sand in the eighteenth century. Camping Le Val Vert en Berry is strongly linked to the region. This is also reflected in the campsite restaurant where they use local products and serve tasty side dishes.
On the various lawns at the campsite you can kick a ball or play badminton. For the smaller children, there is a nice field with some playground equipment. But there are also plenty of activities in the vicinity of the campsite including tree climbing, kayaking, bungee jumping or go fishing in one of the surrounding lakes. Back at the campsite, you can cool off in the outdoor swimming pool.
