Camping Trendelburg is located on the Mühlenanger, an island in the Diemel, surrounded by the Mühlengraben and the Diemel, idyllically situated at the foot of the Trendelburg. The site has 120 touring pitches, half occupied by seasonal units. There is a large tent meadow awayfrom the other guests, ideal for groups, where campfires are allowed. There are also four apartments available to hire. The main pitches are located to the west of the campsite. The on-site facilities are centrally located where you will find the reception building, the campsite restaurant and the small shop. A table tennis table is available for a game or two, and rackets can be borrowed from reception.

Ideally located next to a weir, there are plenty of paddling opportunities for the younger children in the shallows below, whilst swimming is available above the wire. Some local companies offer canoe and kayaking trips along the river Diemel, but a slipway is available from the campsite if you bring your canoe or kayak. You can also fish directly from the campsite's river bank.

Trendelburg is located at the foothills of the Reinhardswald which offers many hiking trails. The Diemel cycle path leads directly past the site.

Directions to Camping Trendelburg

The site is located about 300metres southeast of the centre of Trendelburg on the B83 (Höxter-Kassel). In Trendelburg (direction Kassel) turn right before the bridge over the Diemel and then keep left. After 300 metres the site is on the left.
