Camping ’t Plathuis is beautifully located in the fortified village of Bourtange. This small town dates back to the times of the invasion of the Bishop of Münster in the 1600s. The site has 100 touring pitches, most on well established grass fields with shade from the mature trees that surround the site. On the newest area at the back of the site there are 25 serviced pitches with 10A electricity, water and drainage. There are ten hardstandings available for motorhomes. To the front of the site is a lake for swimming and fishing with a sandy beach.

The southeast part of Groningen is a beautiful area, ideal for walking and cycling trips. Across the road from the site is a canal for fishing and boating (canoe hire on site). Besides spending some time in Bourtange, there is easy access to Germany for touring or visiting towns such as Leer, or even Bremen. This is a site for those who enjoy peace and quiet, walking, biking, nature and culture.

Directions to Camping ’t Plathuis

From A7 take exit 47 for Winschoten and continue on N367 towards Vlagtwedde. In Vlagtwedde turn on N368 towards Bourtange. Site is on the right 200 m. after entering the village.
