Camping Stobrec is ideally located for those visiting Croatia and travelling down the coastal road or visiting the old town of Split - a must! The site has 272 touring pitches on a small peninsula, all with 10/16A electricity and some with water connections. Around 40 of these are in a separate area reserved for tents.

The site benefits from the mature trees, which give shade and privacy to most pitches, which are level. Some of the pitches have views over the sandy beach and across the bay. Set on top of rocks at the point of the peninsula is a large, comfortable restaurant with several terraces and wonderful views — an ideal place for a quiet drink or evening meal before taking a walk on the beach.

The reception area has been refurbished, a new Market area has been completed and refurbishment of the Supermarket was underway (Spring 2022). The new wellness centre has been completed although not in operation at the time of the Assessor’s visit (Spring 2022).

Split, with its squares, streets and narrow alleys worn smooth by almost 2,000 years of continuous use (wear shoes with a good grip), really must not be missed. The campsite can organise trips and at reception there is plenty of tourist information as well as good personal advice available. A bus stop is close to the site entrance, so getting into Split is straightforward. Being close to the coastal road there is some traffic noise, especially during the day, however, it is not too obtrusive.

Three sanitary blocks include free hot water, controllable showers accessed by wristbands, and some washbasins in cabins. Accessible sanitary facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Three outdoor swimming pools, Wellness area with sauna, gym and whirlpool. Dog Wash facilities and fenced-off dog beach. Beach bars and a restaurant. Supermarket at the entrance. Play area. Multisports pitch, Table tennis, Children’s club and entertainment programme (high season). Bicycle hire. Fishing. Kayaking, Stand-up paddle boards, Small boat launch, Internet access and WiFi throughout (free).

Directions to Camping Stobrec Split

Site is 7 km. southeast of the Split city centre close to No. 8 coastal road. Travelling north to south, bypass Split on No. 8 road, at bottom of the hill on the descent to Stobrec, the site is signed to right. Turn right and the site entrance is almost immediately on left.
