Camping Saint-Lambert is located at the entrance of the Gorges du Tarn, between the Grands Causses and the Cévennes, and 2.5 km. from the centre of Millau. The site has a private beach on the shady banks of the river Dourbie. The river is not fenced and was fast flowing when we visited. There are 133 pitches here, 105 of which are for touring, generally of a good size and generally well shaded. Most have electrical connections.

A number of pitches are occupied by mobile homes, bungalow style tents and caravans, available to rent. Leisure amenities include a swimming pool and children’s play area. There is a small bar/snack bar and also a well stocked shop.

The Tarn Gorges are well known for the great wealth of adventure sports on offer. These include canoeing, canyoning, rock climbing and potholing.

Millau is an interesting town of 22,000 inhabitants, with a good range of shops and restaurants. It is now possibly best known for the magnificent A75 motorway bridge which spans the valley to the west of the town and which is the highest in the world

Directions to Camping Saint-Lambert

Approaching from the north on A75, leave at exit 45 (just before the viaduct toll station). Follow the signs for Campings at every roundabout (all the town’s campsites are in the same area).
