Alan Rogers Review of Camping Saint Etienne
This is a small, unsophisticated municipal site beside a lake in this undiscovered area of France. There are 110 sloping pitches on stony grass, 80 for touring. Laid out on low terraces overlooking the lake, they are separated by trees and little hedging. Many pitches are not delineated which may lead to difficulties when the site is busy. Many pitches have good views across the lake and the site offers a quiet and relaxing holiday off season.
Facilities at Camping Saint Etienne
Two basic toilet blocks with all the usual facilities. Small bar/restaurant with takeaway. Lake swimming, boating and fishing. Small play area. Bicycle hire. Occasional evening entertainment (July/Aug).
Directions to Camping Saint Etienne
Villefranche-de-Panat is 40 km. west of the A75, exit 45 (Millau). From the village take the D25 northwest for 2 km. Site is on the right by the lake.
