This pleasant site is in a superb location with magnificent views over Lake Bracciano and Castello Odescalchi. Although it was busy when we visited, it was still peaceful and relaxing. There are 275 flat, shaded pitches with 6A electricity (Europlug). A pleasant, covered restaurant offers pizza and a limited menu. Set alongside the lake with its fabulous views, the restaurant complex has a large terrace, as does a smaller indoor area. Elide speaks excellent English and will happily go out of her way to ensure guests enjoy their holiday. Many of the visitors told us that they return year after year and some stay for 8 to 12 weeks at a time, enjoying all that the Lazio region has to offer.

The broad lake frontage has very fine panoramic views and is great for swimming, with shaded, grassy relaxation areas. Boats and windsurfers can be launched here (no power boats allowed). There is a pleasant swimming pool and paddling pool on the site. Only 40 minutes from Rome, and with regular buses to the local train station. A campsite booklet full of very useful information is provided, plus a suggested itinerary for visiting Rome, including places to eat. The ancient Etruscan ruins are fairly close by if you wish to visit something even older than Rome itself.

Two large, but tired sanitary blocks (scheduled for refurbishment) have free hot water throughout and fully adjustable showers. Accessible Facilities in one block. Rooms for children. Laundry facilities. Gas supplies. Bar/restaurant/pizzeria, small shop (all open as site). Swimming pool (1/6-31/8). Play area. Watersports. Games room. Entertainment for children in high season. WiFi (charged). Excursions. Private bus to Roma San Pietro and return. Sports area.

Directions to Camping Roma Flash

From A1/E45 north of Roma take exit for Orte and Viterbo (SS675), Vetralla, Sutri (SS2), Trevignano Romano (SP12d) and then towards Bracciano (SP4a). Site is well signed off the lakeside road.
