Camping Playa de la Franca is a modest site at the eastern end of the Asturias region, around 70 km. from Santander and would be useful for a stopover. The coastline is rugged and offers some superb walking opportunities along towering cliffs and across clean, sandy beaches. The vast Picos de Europa mountain range rises to the south. The site has 138 with 105 available for touring units pitches (45-90 sq.m). Pitches are grassy and offer abundant shade. They also have electrical connections (6/16A) and water taps close at hand. There is a bar and restaurant at the entrance to the site serving typically Asturian cuisine. Mobile homes and chalets are available to rent.

Directions to Camping Playa de la Franca
From Santander take the A67 and then the E70/A8 westwards. After Bustio continue on the N634 and pass through La Franca. After passing the railway line take the second road junction and follow site signs.
