This family run site has 250 pitches (with 3A electricity), just under half of which are used for seasonal units. On sandy ground, all the pitches are under tall pine trees resulting in full shade. Orientated towards families, this site in a small seaside town would make a good base for touring the local Etruscan ruins or perhaps as a transit stop. The beach is about 100 m. away and is of dark volcanic sand. There is a bright new bar, restaurant and café (great crêpes!) here now, and the promenade and beach are just 100 metres away.

The delightful town of Montalto di Castro is about 8 km. away, near the Via Aurealis (SS1), and offers opportunities for sightseeing and shopping. Nearby Maremma is an enchanting region of Tuscany and is famous for its cowboys, cattle and milk production. The Etruscan towns of Vulci and Tarquinia are well worth visiting, as are the thermal spas at Viterbo and Saturnia.

Directions to Camping Pionier Etrusco

Leave the SS1 at exit for Marfina di Montalto di Castro and head towards the coast. At roundabout turn left, then right and at T-junction turn right again. Site is off to the left and is clearly signed.
