The fascinating Medieval town of Ribeauvillé on the Alsace Route des Vins is within walking distance of this attractive, quietly located site. Popular and well run, it has 208 touring pitches, all with 16A electricity and some separated by shrubs or railings. There are tarmac and gravel access roads. This is a site solely for touring units – there are no mobile homes or seasonal units here. The small shop is open daily for most of the season (hours vary) providing bread, basic supplies and some wines. Only breathable groundsheets are permitted.
Worth a visit in the local area is Ferme l’Hirondelle at Ribeauvillé Gare which makes its own cheese, farm shop for milk, cheese, butter, yoghurt and regional products, and the children can visit the animals whilst you relax on the shady terrace of the bar/restaurant.
Facilities at Camping Pierre de Coubertin
Large, heated block provides modern facilities with washbasins in cubicles. Accessible facilities, Baby facilities. Large laundry room. A smaller unit at the far end of the site is opened for July/Aug. Very good facilities for disabled campers at both units. Shop (Easter-Oct). Excellent adventure style play area with rubber base. Tennis. Boules. TV room. Free WiFi over site.
Directions to Camping Pierre de Coubertin
Ribeauvillé is 13 km. southwest of Sélestat and site is well signed. Turn north off the D106 at traffic lights by large car park, east of the town centre.
