Camping Paradis des Dombes is in Sandrans, Ain, near the Dombes wetlands, also known as the “land of a thousand ponds.” The site has its own 12-acre fishing lake. This is a family-friendly site about five minutes’ drive from the sleepy village of Sandrans. The site has 75 pitches, 55 of which are for touring units and have a 10-amp hook-up points and 5 mobile homes for hire. Pitches are large and are delimited by mature hedging. Some are also hardstanding.

On site is an outdoor pool for swimming and sunbathing, and the campsite's restaurant with a terrace serves simple dishes made from local produce. Barbecues are permitted on site, and there are picnic tables dotted around on the lawns perfect for alfresco dining. There are also swings, climbing frame and a bouncy castle for the little ones to play on. The whole family can enjoy using the Boules court, volleyball, badminton nets and table tennis. If you are keen to explore the wetlands surrounding the campsite, you can borrow bicycles from the reception and head off into the countryside at your own leisure. There are also walks along largely traffic-free rural lanes which is handy for dog owners.

Directions to Camping Paradis des Dombes

From the A40 at junction 5 at the roundabout after the toll booth take the first exit to join the D975 towards Bourg-en-Bresse on the edge of the town join the D117 towards Saint-Denis-les-Bourg and at a roundabout join the D936 towards Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne and Saint Trivier-sur-Moignans. At Saint Trivier turn left onto the D27. The site is on the right off this road before you reach Sandrans
