Alan Rogers Review of Camping l’Etoile de Mer
The new owners of l’Etoile de Mer are working hard to improve this pleasant little site. Tall trees provide shade for the 168 pitches, 68 of which are for touring. These 80-100 sq. m. pitches are on level grass and all have 10A electricity. Regularly laid out mobile homes and large family tents occupy the remaining pitches, all available to hire. An attractively landscaped area with a bar, provides the setting for evening entertainment. The beach of fine white sand is just 300 m. from the site. There are plans to build a swimming pool.
Sérignan town has a morning market three days a week and the square with its canopy of trees becomes alive with colour. The Canal du Midi is close by and the ‘Ecluse de Fonserannes’ near Béziers is a fascinating staircase of eight locks and nine gates and really worth a visit.
Facilities at Camping l’Etoile de Mer
Traditional and fully equipped toilet block. Laundry room. Motorhome services. Shop (July/Aug). Bar, restaurant and takeaway (15/6-31/8, evenings only in June). Play area. Multisports court. Minigolf. Children’s club (5-16 yrs). Entertainment (July/Aug). Bicycle hire. Only electric barbecues permitted on pitches, communal barbecues provided. WiFi around bar area.
Directions to Camping l’Etoile de Mer
Exit A9, junction 35 (Béziers Est) and follow signs for Sérignan then Sérignan-Plage (D37, 10 km). Site is the third one on the left.
