Les Charmilles is a friendly site run by a brother and sister team near the village of Vallières, west of Annecy. There are 70 pitches, 48 with electricity (8A). A number of pitches are occupied by chalets and caravans to rent. The site restaurant, Le Marilyn, is open to the general public and specialises in Savoyard cuisine. Takeaway meals are also possible. On-site leisure amenities include a large swimming pool, paddling pool and volleyball court. During peak season, various activities are organised including themed evenings, and a children’s club specialising in craft activities and games.

The village centre is a 500 m. walk away through orchards and has a number of shops including a post office and a specialist cheese shop. Rumilly is a larger village, around 5 km. to the south, with two supermarkets and a wider selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. It also has a popular market every Thursday. Annecy is, of course, a delightful town and its old quarters and lakeside promenades are highly recommended.

Entertainment and activity programme (6/7-29/8). Chalets and caravans to rent. Trampolines. Table tennis, No electric barbecues. WiFi (free in bar).

Directions to Camping les Charmilles

Approaching from the north, leave A40 autoroute at exit 11 and head south on D1508 and D1504 to Frangy. Then continue south on D910 to Vallières and then follow signs to the site.
