Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Sérignan Plage Nature
Sérignan-Plage Nature benefits from the same 600 m. of white, sandy beach as its sister site next door, but being a naturist site, it actually abuts the naturist section of the beach with direct access to it. It also has the use of the Sérignan-Plage balnéotherapy pool in the mornings, an excellent facility with spa and jacuzzi pools in a Romanesque-style setting for those over 16 years of age. The site has nearly 400 good sized touring pitches on level sandy grass, all of which offer 10A electricity. There is plenty of shade except on the pitches beside the beach. mobile homes and chalets are available to rent. A friendly bar and shop serve the site although visitors may also use the facilities at le Sérignan-Plage.
In recent years both Sérignan-Plage and Sérignan-Plage Nature have been developed by Jean-Guy and Catherine. The original work was done by Jean-Guy’s father who loved his Romanesque columns, arches and pillars which give both sites a degree of individuality. It was his foresight that masterminded the award-winning, environmentally friendly irrigation system that reuses waste water which serves both this site and Camping Sérignan-Plage. This allows colourful shrubs and trees to grow providing shade and a very pleasant environment ensuring a comfortable site suitable for young and old. After crossing the Orb by a ferry boat, it is possible to cycle a round trip taking in Valras and Sérignan, and even Béziers and the ‘Neuf Ecluses’ (nine locks) via the towpath of the Canal du Midi.
Facilities at Camping le Sérignan Plage Nature
Three sanitary blocks of different designs offer modern amenities with washbasins in cabins and accessible facilities. Everything is clean and well maintained. Washing machine. Supermarket, fresh fruits and vegetables, newsagent/gift shop and an ice cream kiosk. Small bar/café. Evening entertainment. Playground, mini club and disco for children. Use of facilities and swimming pools in Sérignan-Plage. Only gas barbecues are allowed. WiFi on part of the site (charged).
Directions to Camping le Sérignan Plage Nature
From A9 exit A75 (Béziers) exit 64 towards Sérignan, D64 (9 km). Before Sérignan, take road to Sérignan-Plage. At small sign (blue) turn right for 500 m. At T-junction turn left over bridge, site is 75 m. immediately after left-hand bend (the second naturist site).
