Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Capanne
Marina di Bibbona is a relatively little known resort situated a little to the south of Livorno and close to the better-known resort of Cecina. There are 324 good sized pitches, 173 for touring units, all with electricity and 40 with water and drainage. Most are well shaded by pine, olive and eucalyptus trees. The remainder of the site has a sunnier, more open setting with mobile homes or chalets belonging to the site or to tour operators. There is something for everyone here and the site has been thoughtfully designed and is well maintained.
Lagoon-style pools with palm trees and extensive landscaped grass areas for sunbathing are a popular feature. The restaurant offers a reasonably priced and varied menu and there is also a brasserie and gelateria.

Three modern toilet blocks with plenty of hot water and toilets of British style. Washing machines. Shop and ‘bazaar’. Bar and popular restaurant away from camping area near site entrance specialising in Tuscan cuisine. Large swimming pool and large play area. Bicycle hire. Entertainment programme in high season. Minigolf. WiFi. Golf practice field.
Directions to Camping le Capanne
Site is south of Livorno. Take A12 autostrada (Livorno-Rosignano Marittimo) to its end and join Via Aurelia (S1) heading south. Exit at Bibbona and follow signs to site.
