Castel Camping Le Brévedent is a well-established, traditional site with 132 pitches (105 for touring units, 31 used by tour operators) set in the grounds of an elegant, 18th-century hunting pavilion. Pitches are around the fishing lake in the lower gardens (level) or the old orchard (gently sloping). All have 10A electricity.

It is an excellent holiday destination within easy reach of the Channel ports, and its peaceful, friendly environment makes it ideal for mature campers or families with younger children (note: the lake is unfenced). The reception provides a good selection of tourist information, and English is spoken.

Organised tours in the main season include visits to a cider farm and a local distillery. Particularly popular are the evening talks, the firework displays for Bastille Day and Assumption Day, Friday evening music sessions and the site’s annual music festival in late September. Organised activities for children include pony lessons. Fishing is free (but put the fish back). Canoes (with lifejackets) are also available. The nearby village of Blangy-le-Château has a shop, bar and restaurant, but for a greater choice, Pont-l’Evêque and Lisieux are both within easy reach. Lisieux is a historic town with an impressive cathedral, whilst Pont-l’Evêque is famous for its distinctive cheese. The picturesque fishing port of Honfleur and the beach resorts of Trouville and Deauville are great destinations for days out.

Three toilet blocks include washbasins in cubicles and accessible facilities, refurbished with spacious en-suite cubicles (shower, washbasin and baby bath). Laundry facilities. Directions to Camping Le Brévedent

Pont-l’Evêque is due south of Le Havre. Le Brévedent is 13 km. southeast from Pont-l’Evêque: take D579 toward Lisieux for 4 km. then south on D51 towards Moyaux. At Blangy-le-Château continue ahead on D51 to Le Brévedent. Site is on left just after village.
