This gem of a campsite, owned and run by Claire and Philippe Ybert, a delightful couple from Jersey, is the kind of small, rural site that is becoming a rarity in France. It has 25 well kept, grassy pitches (19 with electrical connections nearby), some separated by young shrubs, others with mature trees. They are spread over three small fields, one for tents with an area set aside for ball games. The owners are intent on keeping their site a peaceful and natural retreat.

An enclosure, home to a group of friendly goats and some chickens, is a magnet for children. Four attractive gîtes and a tent are available to rent but there are no mobile homes, organised games or music. Within a thirty minute drive are the attractions of Saint Malo, Dinan and Mont-Saint Michel.

The toilet block beside the house provides washbasins in cubicles, showers, plus accessible facilities. Bar (all season) with takeaway (June-Sept). Fresh bread can be ordered night before. Small heated swimming pool (15/5-15/9). Animal enclosure. Games field. Free WiFi over site. Gîtes for hire.

Directions to Camping le Bois Coudrais

Cuguen is 40 km. southeast of St Malo. From N137 St Malo-Rennes road turn east on D794 to Combourg and on towards Fougères. Turn north on D83 for Mont-St Michel. Site is 1 km. past Cuguen on the left, well signed.
