Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Pindière
Camping la Pindière can be found between Nantes and Rennes, close to the Nantes-Brest canal. The site is open all year and may appeal as an en-route stop, although there is much to see in the area. Pitches here are of a good size and generally well shaded (46 for touring). Most have electrical connections. Mobile homes and shepherds huts are available to rent. The adjacent Auberge des Pyrénées is a pleasant restaurant, open throughout the year. Cycling is popular in the area, with a number of excellent cycle tracks, including routes alongside the canal. The great city of Nantes, the largest in Brittany, is within easy reach.
Nantes is maybe best known for its 13th-century Château des Ducs de Bretagne, and also for its Jules Verne museum (the writer was born in the city). The western châteaux of the Loire Valley are also close at hand. Alternatively, day trips to the Atlantic beaches at La Baule and Le Croisic are possible.

Heric is north of Nantes. If approaching from the north, use the N137 Rennes-Nantes road and leave at Fay-de-Bretagne exit. The site is well signed from here.
