Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Favière
La Favière is a small, terraced site nestled within the Forêt du Mont Noir, close to the Swiss border. Access to it is via the main D437 however the last 500 metres is on a single track, fairly steep forest road which is in good condition. This is a no-frills, back-to-basics site with little entertainment and would suit those looking to ‘get away from it all’. The 35 small pitches are of irregular shapes and sizes, 24 with 6A electricity. There are six modern log cabins and a house to rent with lovely views over the open countryside. The campsite is 200 metres further along the road in a clearing in the wood with no views. There are two small, dated but clean traditional sanitary blocks. With the campsite only being open May to September, the rental properties (open all year) would make a good base for winter sports.
Facilities at Camping la Favière
Two unheated sanitary blocks, this site suits self-sufficient motorhomers or caravanners. Sauna (all year). Play area for under 7s. Badminton. Petanque.
Directions to Camping la Favière
The site is 2 km. northeast of St Laurent-en-Grandvaux. From Pontarlier take the E23/N57 south. Turn right on the D437 and continue southwest towards St Laurent-en-Grandvaux and 2 km. before the town turn left (site signed).
