Easily accessed from the A2/E61 autocesta, this small, terraced, south-facing site offers striking views of Slovenia’s highest mountains which form part of the adjoining Triglav National Park. Camping Kamen has around 70 pitches for touring, mostly on grass, 40 of which have 6/10A electrical connections. Site roads are gravel and tarmac and plenty of trees provide good shade on many of the pitches. Ana Voga, the owner, speaks excellent English and is happy to point you in the direction of the local attractions.

The area is a haven for walking and mountain biking with trails of all grades against a backdrop of waterfalls, fast-flowing mountain streams and forests. Three valleys lead west into the mountains from Mojstrana, including the trail to the ascent of Triglav, at nearly 3,000 m. the highest point of the Julian Alps.

The small excellent sanitary block is of a high quality and well maintained. Accessible facilities. Motorhome service point. Reception/bar with TV. Small shop for essentials (Seasonal). Playground. Two tennis courts. Mountain bike hire. Chalets and bungalows to rent. WiFi throughout (free). Max. 2 dogs.

Directions to Camping Kamne

Site is 5.5 km. northwest of the southern exit of the Karawanken tunnel which joins Villach in Austria with Slovenia. A few hundred meters from the tunnel’s southern end, take exit for Kranjska Gora and at the end of the slip road left towards Kranjska Gora. After 5.5 km. at the western village sign for Dovje, site is 100 m. to the right.
