Arriving at this large site in the suburbs of Lisbon, first impressions are good. Beyond the wide entrance with its ponds and fountains, the trees, lawns and flowering shrubs lead to the attractive swimming pool area. Positive impressions continue: on sloping ground, the site’s many terraces are well-shaded by trees and shrubs, and all 189 touring pitches are on concrete hardstandings with grass and a picnic table. All have 10A electricity connections, water and a drain.
There is a huge separate area for tents, and 70 chalet-style bungalows are for rent. Central Lisbon is easily reached by bus with a regular service from near the gate. There are shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but most people probably prefer to hop on a bus and go into Lisbon.
There you can enjoy the vast choice of dining and retail opportunities the city has to offer, or you can simply wander round the historic streets, climb up to Castelo do São Jorge or join a tourist bus, which enables you to hop off and on again at any of Lisbon’s many historic and architectural sites A decent beach is a short drive away, with a wider choice of fine beaches further along the coast.

Eight solar-powered toilet blocks are well equipped and kept clean, although in need of some refurbishment. Controllable showers and hot water to open-style washbasins. Accessible Facilities. Launderette. Motorhome services. Shop, bar and self-service restaurant with takeaway (all year). Swimming and paddling pools (lifeguard June-Sept). Tennis. Minigolf. Sports field. Playgrounds. Entertainment in high season. Games and TV rooms. Booking service for excursions. WiFi in the restaurant area (free).
Directions to Lisboa Camping & Bungalows
Site is west of Lisbon. From A5 motorway (Estoril) leave at exit 3/4 (huge signs to Buraca and Campismo). Site is signed from all directions at these complicated junctions. Enter to the right of the fountain on the tiled road.
