Camping Gianna is situated to the east of La Spezia and 400 m. from the pretty village of Tellaro which is typical of this part of the Italian coast. The site, set peacefully on a hillside among olive trees has 50 terraced touring pitches (20-50 sq.m), 37 for tents and 13 for small tourers. They are shaded and have electricity (6A Europlug); in addition there are 90 annually rented pitches. It is steeply terraced with beautiful views overlooking the Mediterranean. There is no shop on site but nearby Tellaro has several restaurants and a shop for essentials. There is a restaurant and a bar next to the pool and a sandy beach nearby (fairly steep access).

The nearby Cinque Terre, a national park with 5 miles of rocky coastline, is characterised by steep hill sides along with miles of ancient stone terracing and small traditional villages on narrow inlets. The aptly named Gulf of Poets, which was frequented by Byron and Shelley among many others, offers a unique and colourful coastline with villages perched on cliff tops overlooking the crystal clear water. Further afield, Florence is an hour’s drive by car and the old town of Lucca around half an hour. There is a comprehensive programme of recreational activities in high season.

Snack bar, takeaway pizzeria and restaurant (1/4-30/9). Swimming pool (1/4-30/9). Small children’s playground. Sports and play area. Table tennis table. Entertainment programme (1/7-30/8). Safes for hire. E-bicycle hire. Internet and WiFi (charged). Dogs are not accepted on the main site.

Directions to Camping Gianna

From the north take A15 to La Spezia. Exit Sarzana and follow signs to Lerici. At Barcola, 6 km. from site, follow road signs and take road to Tellaro-Camping Gianna. Follow signs to campsite.
