In the small village of Lièpvre, this peaceful and relaxed municipal site is very well cared for and has won tributes for its floral displays. A pretty stream crosses the site and there are many varieties of trees, but no hedges. A small site of one hectare, there are 59 large numbered pitches, all with electricity, and six chalets. Hardstanding is provided for up to four motorhomes. The reception staff and a dedicated manager are very welcoming and will provide much information about the region. The striking Château of Haut-Koenigsbourg is nearby.
Given by the town of Sélestat to the Kaiser in 1899, the ruins of the castle were rebuilt and repaired to mark the western limit of the empire. There is direct access from the site to the woods and hills for walking and cycling.
Facilities at Camping du Haut-Koenigsbourg
Two sanitary blocks provide ample toilets, showers and washbasins (also in cabins), all very clean, bright and cheerful. Accessible Facilities. Family shower room. Washing machines (no dryer). One block closed outside July/Aug. TV at reception. No shop but the bakery is 10 minutes away. Pétanque. Small playground. WiFi.
