Domaine la Chabanne is located in Châtel-Montagne, France, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It is situated in a wooded area and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. It is a good option for families looking for a peaceful and relaxing camping vacation and offers basic amenities in a beautiful setting. On site, there are 17 large touring pitches situated on terraces with electric hook-up points. You can also rent a luxury safari tent or dome.
The highlights of the campsite is the centrally located swimming pool which is covered over in bad weather as well as the newly built playground which is located right next to the pool perfect for the kids to let off some steam. For those who wish to have a competitive game or two, there is table tennis and petanque on site, too. To help ensure the peaceful atmosphere, no entertainment programme is offered here.
There are several lakes and rivers in the area where you can go swimming. The nearest lake is Lac de Villerest, which is about a 15-minute drive from the campsite which is perfect for fishing enthusiats. The reservoir lake Plan d'Eau, has a variety of sporting activities, such as kayaking and pedal boats. Plan d’Eau is situated about 7 km from La Chabanne. The area also has several charming villages and towns, including Châtel-Montagne, Vichy, and Lapalisse. These towns offer plenty of shops, restaurants, and historical sites.
