Camping des Noires Mottes is in Sangatte, Pas-de-Calais. The site has 152 grass/hardstanding pitches, 94 of which are for touring units and have a 10-amp hook-up point. There are also six mobile homes and log cabins available to hire. Whilst the site is quite large, it isn’t usually too busy; there are regular comings/goings of motor homes and caravans daily as the site is popular for visitors en route to further destinations.

The facilities are immaculate, and the owners promptly cleaned them after reports of misuse. Mobile homes on the site are situated around a central area, with touring pitches around the outer edges. There’s a daily bakery van each morning around 09h30 if you need to buy bread. The site is ideally situated for leaving your unit on site and using public transport during your stay - there is a bus stop at the Mairie, a 2–3-minute walk away. Buses are accessible to all passengers, and dogs are allowed on board, too. You can take the bus to the centre of Calais.

Directions to Camping Des Noires Mottes

From the A16 (toll free along this route) take exit 41 Coquelles. At the roundabout at the end of the slip road join the D243 towards Sangatte. When you reach the coast road turn right and join the D940. The site is then on the right off this road after the Bar/Tabac “Le Week-End”.
