Camping des Glaciers is set amidst magnificent mountain scenery in a peaceful location in the beautiful Ferret Valley, almost 5,000 feet above sea level. The site offers generous pitches in an open, undulating meadow and the rest are level, individual plots of varying sizes in small clearings, between bushes and shrubs or under tall pines. Most of the 220 pitches have 10A electricity (long leads useful). M. Alain Darbellay has meticulously maintained the family’s determination to keep the site unspoilt and in keeping with its mountain environment. He intends to maintain the strong family interest and friendships built up over the years. Additional land has been added to increase the number of pitches available.

This is a site for those seeking relaxation in pure, fresh mountain air or boundless opportunities for mountain walking and cycling. Marked tracks bring the Grand Saint Bernard Pass and the path around Mont Blanc within range, in addition to many others, with an abundance of flora and fauna for added interest. The local bus links to Osiers, then trains to the old Roman city of Martini. While the upper levels may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility, there are excellent accessible toilet facilities at the new block by the meadow area.

Facilities at Camping des Glaciers

Three sanitary units of exceptional quality are heated when necessary. The newest unit has super facilities for children and wide accessible facilities. Hot water is free in all washbasins (some in cabins), showers and sinks. British style WCs. Washing machines and dryers in each block, one block has a drying room, another a baby room. Gas supplies. Motorhome services. Small shop for basics. Bread and cakes to order daily. Recreation room with TV. Playground. Mountain bike hire. Communal fire pit. WiFi (free). Torches useful.

Directions to Camping des Glaciers

Leave Martigny-Gd St Bernard road (no. 21/E27) to the right where signed Orsieres/La Fouly. Site is signed on right at end of La Fouly village. Access is fairly tight and long units should take care.
