Alan Rogers Review of Camping Delle Rose

Camping Delle Rose is close to the French border, and a few miles inland from the Italian Riviera. This is a peaceful spot, set deep in the Maritime Alps, with many unspoilt medieval towns, picturesque churches and bustling markets. This is a friendly, family site where Lorena, Mauro and Lorenzo will guarantee a warm welcome. The site is located on a steeply terraced hillside, surrounded by eucalyptus and mimosa. The 80 touring pitches are 40-80 sq.m, and most have 3A electricity connections. A number of mobile homes and apartments are available for rent. Many improvements are being made to the site and those already completed are of a high standard.

On-site amenities here include swimming pools, as well as a bar, restaurant and pizzeria. Delle Rose is close to the medieval village of Dolceacqua and 6 km. from Pigna, an ancient spa town clinging to the valley sides and famous for its sulphurous waters. The town’s main streets are arranged in concentric circles, criss-crossed with narrow alleys, well shaded lanes and steep paths.

Facilities at Camping Delle Rose

One basic toilet block has been recently refurbished and provides some washbasins with hot water, pushbutton showers (no dividers) and baby changing mat. Swimming pools (15/6-15/9). New bar (15/6-15/9). Restaurant and pizzeria (July/Aug). Small play area. Animation for children and live music for adults (high season). Communal barbecues only. Mobile homes and chalets for rent. Torch useful. WiFi (charged in high season).
