L’Ile Verte is located at the heart of the bay of Le Mont Saint-Michel, close to Cancale and Saint Malo, and is a good base for discovering the culture, gastronomy and coast of this beautiful area. The campsite is just 400 m. from the sea and has 21 mobile homes for rent, as well as 39 generously sized touring pitches, all with 6A electricity. On-site amenities include a covered, heated swimming pool and a good children’s play area. Special kitchen facilities have been provided for visitors with tents. In peak season, a variety of activities and events are organised including evening swimming and local folk groups.

Le Mont Saint-Michel is, of course, one of France’s most renowned sights and features on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. The excellent new light bridge provides much improved access. Saint Malo also richly deserves a visit and, in addition to the walled town, it is worth finding time to explore the Grand Aquarium, one of the finest in France. Closer to site, Cancale is a delightful fishing port with several excellent seafood restaurants.

One older style toilet block (renovated in 2013) has new shower fittings and provides washbasins in cubicles. Accessible facilities (key access). Laundry area. Motorhome services. Bar/takeaway in high season. Pizza van once a week and seafood platters delivered in July/Aug. Covered and heated swimming pool. Play area. Boules. Activity and entertainment programme. Directions to Camping de l’Ile Verte

The site can be found on the edge of the village of St Benoît-des-Ondes. Approaching from St Malo, follow D155 and D6, passing through St Meloir-des-Ondes until St Benoît-des-Ondes. Follow signs to the site.
