Camping de l'Île is located in Ranchot, Jura, France not far from Besançon. As the name suggests, the campsite is located on the island, in this case between the Doubs River and the Rhine-Rhône Canal. It offers a peaceful and scenic location for a camping getaway. When you arrive at the campsite, you will find 26 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. The pitches are spacious and vary in size and are surrounded by mature trees, and many are located on the water's edge of the Doubs River.

Most guests come to this site to enjoy its surroundings. There are many activities to enjoy here, such as kayaking and paddle boarding and fishing on the river. Kayaks and SUPs can be rented directly from the campsite. There are also plenty of walking and cycling opportunities along the river straight from the campsite. Bicycles and tandem bicycles can also be rented from the site. After a day of exploring, why not try out the campsite's restaurant, which serves delicious regional specialities, such as 'goujonette de truite' and 'fondue à la cancoillotte. The restaurant is open during high season and regularly hosts themed evenings such as paella nights or Moules frites. For those that wish to cook for themselves whilst staying here, there is a bakery located less than 100 metres from the site and a supermarket is located 3 kilometres away. The campsite is also located along EuroVelo 6, a long-distance cycling route that runs from Nantes, France to Budapest, Hungary.
