Camping Böda Sand is beautifully situated at the northern end of the island of Öland and is one of Sweden’s largest and most modern campsites. Most of the 1,350 pitches have electricity (10/16A) and TV connections, 1,100 have water and wastewater drainage.

The pitches and 125 cabins to rent are spread out in a pine forest, very close to a fabulous 20 km. long, white sand beach. Here you will also find a restaurant, kiosks, toilets and beach showers, and a relaxation centre with an indoor/outdoor pool. The reception, the toilet blocks and the services at this site are excellent and comprehensive.

Entertainment and activities both for children and adults are very extensive, with a comprehensive range to choose from every week during high season.

For exercise, there are tennis and badminton courts, trim trails, a football pitch and a nine-hole golf course (par 58) in the forest.

Nearby attractions are the lighthouse at the northern tip of Öland, the Troll forest and the natural limestone sculptures at Byerum. Art galleries and craft shops are well worth a visit as well as the Swedish Royal family’s summer residence, Soliden, and the castle ruin at Borgholm.

Seven heated sanitary blocks provide a good supply of shower cubicles, washbasins, some washbasin suites and WCs. Accessible facilities (key at reception). Well equipped laundry rooms. Excellent kitchens with cookers, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers (free) and sinks. Motorhome services. Supermarket and bakery (seasonal). Pizzeria, café, pub and restaurant (May-Aug). Takeaway. Bicycle hire, pedal cars and pedal boat hire. Minigolf. 9-hole golf course. Play area. Indoor/outdoor swimming pool (on the beach). Trim trails. Family entertainment and activities. WiFi (charged).

From Kalmar cross Öland road bridge on road no. 137. On Öland follow road no. 136 towards Borgholm and Byxelkrok. Turn right at roundabout north of Böda and follow campsite signs to Krono Camping Böda Sand.
