This is a large site by Swiss standards, located in a quiet, open situation directly on Lake Murten with its own marina and excellent access to the water. The site is well cared for, with 300 out of the 700 pitches available for touring units. These are of reasonable size (80 sq.m) with shade in parts from tall trees and 13A electricity on most. At the centre of the site is a large building which houses a general shop, butcher, baker and the main sanitary facilities. With the site’s location directly on the shores of the lake, there are many leisure opportunities.
These include watersports, fishing and sandy beaches for swimming or relaxing. A separate restaurant is nearer the lakeshore.
Facilities at Camping Avenches Port-Plage
Three toilet blocks with British style WCs, hot showers and accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Restaurant. Shop, butcher and baker. TV room. Playground. Special events are organised for adults and children in July/Aug. Watersports, boating and lake swimming. Pedalos. WiFi (free).

Site is signed near Avenches on the Bern-Lausanne road no.1 (not the motorway). Signed Neuchâtel and Salavaux.
