Birkelund camping has been certified since 2013 with the Norwegian "Miljøfyrtårn" environmental mark and is a quiet family campsite with lots of space and excellent facilities. The campsite is located in an old, cultural landscape with agricultural traditions and summer mountain farms. The campsite can be used as a base for various tours by car, motorcycle or bicycle. It's the perfect location for climbing, mountain biking, fishing or hiking holidays.

Spend your free time fly fishing in the Storåni river where fish are abundant. The river is 500 m from the campsite and fishing rods are available from reception. At Birkelund camping there is room for 40 caravans, campers and tents.14 cabins are available to rent.

The cabins are for 2 to 6 people. In the cabins, you will find duvets, pillows, crockery, cutlery and pans, a double ceramic hob, fridge with freezer, kettle and coffee maker. Dogs are welcome on Birkelund camping if they kept on a lead.

Facilities at Birkelund Camping

2 heated sanitary buildings with toilets, showers, washbasins and washing cabins. Kitchen where you can cook, eat, play boardgames or watch TV. Books in the kitchen can be borrowed or exchanged. Washing machine and dryer in the laundry room. The use of EasyBe dishwashers are free. Cross-country skiing and alpine skiing is possible in the vicinity of the campsite. Bicycles, mountain bikes and the sauna at the campsite are complimentary. Small playground. Trampoline. Table tennis. Volleyball/badminton court. Boules court. Fire pit with barbecue facility at the campsite and a number of barbecues that you can hire. Free WiFi throughout the campsite.

The camping is located in the Hallingdal, between the villages of Hol and Hovet. Hovet is part of the municipality of Hol. From roadnr. Rv7 take the side road Fv50 in Hagafoss direction Hol-Aurland. 8 km further the camping is situated on your left.
