Alan Rogers Review of Belrepayre Airstream & Retro Camping
The Belrepayre Airstream and Retro Campsite only has 12 touring pitches. It is situated south of Toulouse between Carcassonne and Foix, near Mirepoix in the foothills of the Pyrenees and at the heart of the famous Cathar region. The owners are enthusiastic Airstream fans, and only allow Airstreams or vans over 30 years old to stay on the site – strictly by reservation only. There are 11 original Airstream caravans from the ’40s to the ’70s available to rent. These are fully equipped for self-catering and are ideal for anybody wanting a real retro camping experience.
Adding to the retro experience, are an old London bus and a taxi, along with a couple of traditional English phone boxes, plus a 1959 American school bus being transformed into a mini-cinema. On site is also the Apollo Lounge bar which is a converted Airstream in its own hexagonal silver tent.
Facilities at Belrepayre Airstream & Retro Camping
Small sanitary block with two showers, two WCs, a cubicle with a washbasin and one outside washbasin. Washing machine in open area and two covered dishwashing sinks. En-suite room with basin, Accessible WC and shower. Limited shop. Airstream bar and snack bar (1/5-27/9). Bicycle hire. WiFi (free).

This very remote site is along 4 km. of single track road and dirt track, now with passing places.
