Approach Farm Caravan Site is a family owned and run site for caravans and motorhomes. The site offers 16 electric pitches on a 1.25-acre grass site on a working arable and beef farm, as well as 2 non-electric pitches. The site is peaceful, relaxing and quiet, the grass is mown weekly, or more when needed! The site is just 7 miles to the south of York, 0.5 mile north of Riccall village which offers shops, pubs, a cafe, a takeaway and very good Italian restaurant. There is a bus stop 500 metres from the site with regular buses into York and Selby. York city centre is 25 minutes (non-rush hour), the Yorkshire Coast, Yorkshire Wolds and Moors are an hour or less away.

Visitors are most welcome to walk on the farm tracks to exercise dogs or themselves. There are also nice woodland and riverside walks a few minutes' drive away. The Sustrans York-Selby cycle track can be joined at Riccall for a very pleasant, safe and flat cycle or walk into York. Nearby Attractions include York City, Jorvik Viking Centre, City Walls, Museums, York Eye, York Minster, The Shambles, York Races. McArthur Glenn shopping outlet. Yorkshire Coast, Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.

The site does not have a shower facility, there is a toilet for visitors' use. Games room with pool table and table tennis table. TV reception fair. Dogs are welcome - on a lead. Dog walk. Tents allowed. Caravan & motorhome storage. Bus stop 500 metres. Charge for awnings.

Directions to Approach Farm Caravan Park

From the A19 north from Selby towards York. Pass Ricall village on the left. At the end of the village turn right into York Road signed Hollicarrs. The site is then on the right just before Hollicarrs Holiday Park.
