This pleasant Tirol site is neat and friendly with family owners who offer a warm welcome and a variety of outdoor activities. Formerly a farm, they now breed horses, giving free horse and carriage rides to youngsters as well as organising mountain treks. Courses run by qualified instructors are available for individuals or groups in climbing (there are practice climbing walls on site), rafting, mountain biking, trekking, hiking etc. Set in the Inn Valley, with wonderful mountain views, the site has 96 flat, firm, grass pitches, all with 10A electrical connections (2-pin sockets). The site is close to the Inn Valley cycle track.

Trees provide shade in some areas. This site could be used for a night stop when passing through from Innsbruck to Salzburg, but would be even better for a longer stay for lively and adventurous youngsters or for a touring holiday in the Tirol area. The free Guest Card gives access to many local attractions. Springtime rallies are welcome and the Mark family are happy to arrange programmes of entertainment and excursions. Guided alpine tours can be arranged and there are pleasant walks up the lower slopes of the mountains directly from the site. Good English is spoken. Some road noise may be heard at night.

Good quality, modern, heated sanitary facilities are provided in the old farm buildings. Washing machines and dryer. Freezer. Motorhome services. Shop (1/6-1/9). Small, cheerful bar/restaurant (1/6-1/9). Small heated pool (5/5-15/9). Free activity programme with instruction. Bicycle hire. Riding (free for children). Trekking for experienced riders. Glacier tours. Large play area. Climbing wall. Barn for use by children in wet weather. WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Alpencamping Mark

Site is 20 km. east of Innsbruck. From A12 exit at junction 61 to Wattens, then east on B171, signed Schwaz. Site is 200 m. east of the village of Weer, on Wattens-Schwaz road no. B171. Look for the flags.
