Villaggio Camping Desiderio is located on the beautiful coast of Paestum, a city known worldwide for its archaeological importance to the extent that it is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pompeii, Vesuvius, Naples, Salerno, and the Amalfi Coast are no more than 100 km away and offer a fascinating insight into the history of this beautiful region. The shops and amenities in the village of Laura di Paestum are just 4 km, easily reached on a bike via the handy cycle path direct from the campsite.

The pitches for tents, camper and caravans are large and shady and located under poplars, eucalyptus, palms, olive trees and acacias. They are surrounded by lush vegetation, well-demarcated and equipped with a private washbasin with drinking water. Each one has its own parking place and an electricity connection. There are two toilet blocks with washbasins and hot showers, and the distance from most pitches is unlikely to exceed 100 metres. A path leads through shady pine forest and shifting dunes to the sandy beach 400 metres away, a board expanse of soft sand gently shelving into the water.

The Desiderio camping site is the ideal place for families with children. Suppose you want to relax and for your excursions. Its location, just a few kilometres from the motorway exits of “Battipaglia” and “Eboli”, make it ideal for a pleasant stopover for those travelling to Calabria or Sicily.

Directions to Villaggio Camping Desiderio

If you are coming from the north or south, take A3 Salerno and exit at Battipaglia. after approx 15 km, you will come to a roundabout and take the right exit signposted “Capaccio Scalo”. You will drive over a railway bridge, and then after 1 km, you will come to another roundabout in the centre of Capaccio Scalo. Turn right and then go straight 4.5 km. Then turn right on Via Posidonia and drive about 1.5 km to the campsite, which is at the end of the road on the right, just before another roundabout.
